Mahimapura and Ramadevar Betta Trekking

MHIMAPURA LORD GARUDA TEMPLE
Last week Sunday (30-03-2008) my self and my cousin Mr Jayaprakash Phadawardhan, rather i will call him as my friend as per the scheduled plan we had been to couple of place in Tumukur road for trekking. we started at 6.35 am from Basaveshwara nagar Bangalore and reached at 7.15 Mahimapura Ranganatha swamy Temple Located on the NH 4 around 40 km from Bangalore.Mahimapura is a small pristine village in Bangalore rural district. As per the local people and temple priest information this is the only place where LORD GARUDA (Vehicle of Vishnu) is adored .Lord Ranganathaswamy temple of Chola style on the top of the hill is the main attraction of this village. A flight of nearly 300 steps leads to this small temple. At the foot of the hill. Mahimapura is only 1.5 km from National Highway 4 (Bangalore-Tumakur Road). Direct buses are available from Bangalore. Mahima Ranganatha swamy, is a mound of jaggery believed to have evolved naturally. The 12-foot Hanuman statue also can be seen.
It is definitely best place for one day picnic, around the hill you can see good lavish green place and full of rock. youth meets or out door training can be conducted here.

GAVI LAKSHIMMA TEMPLE AND it new temple just 5 k.m from Mahimapura and 1 k.m from NH 4. temple is inaugurated by Balagangadhara Swamiji in the
year 2001.
